Safety is the first consideration with a Credit Union share account. Your savings are protected in a number of ways. Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the NCUA, an agency of the U.S. Government that also examines the Credit Union each year.  An annual audit is performed by professional accountants, overseen by the Supervisory Committee. The committee is made up of three appointed Credit Union members, like yourself. The Credit Union carries a surety bond that covers against loss by theft, robbery, embezzlement and fraud. We are also insured against loss by several types of liability and casualty coverage.

The Credit Union is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected by the members, from among the members. The Board, in turn, employs a Professional Staff to operate the Credit Union. Members also elect a volunteer Credit Committee from the membership who reviews loan applications. Elections are held by mail annually. The results are announced at the Annual Meeting of the members, which is held in April or May.
